Holy shit im following the same diet, I started 3 weeks ago and went from 180 - 175 right now, with cheating occurring once a week, it works can't wait till my 2nd month.

Hey, I think you have set some great goals for yourself, but your list makes them sound kind of dreadful. Try to keep positive. It's not just about weight loss; eating to fuel your body is going to make you feel great! Also, it is definitely okay to treat yourself once in a while!
Two questions... Where did you go? I was interested to be following you and see where you were now...
Is Jamal NUTS? He makes the plan you are undertaking sound painful and tortuous.
Tuna, cottage cheese, beans, unflavoured oatmeal mixed with eggs? WOW... I'd rather be heavy I think.
There are LOTS to good for you foods out there that are YUMMY... how about fresh vegetables, Quinoa is AMAZING (and versitile), agave syrup (LOW glycemic index and very sweet) and what about greek yoghurt and fresh berries and add some ground up flax seeds to things.
If you deprive yourself of EVERYTHING that is yummy, has flavour AND texture you will never succeed OR be happy.
Please update... let us know what happened to you...
Yeah ... Typical blog. One month max of good posts. Once a blogger sees that no one is following them right away, they just give up... Probably happens 95-98% of the time (according to my highly scientific data collection methods) The other 2-5% just keep going for years, not caring who follows them. Oh well. Add one more to the "fail" list. =) (I've been there)
Good luck! I may do this, I'm also trying to do a lot more exercise but it's way hard because I'm so busy. Tofu is really good when it's cooked the right way!
no thanks. I like food, i thinks its one of life's pleasures. I don't want food to be a sacrifice, to force myself to achieve quick results. I'd rather incorporate some of those principles, like reducing sugar drinks and snacks, and including fiber in a diet, but im not going to eat bland for a month just to loose weight, what happens next month? what happens next? do i forget that food is also a delight, something to be enjoyed? Really, no thanks. But good luck to ya.
I get it and I have to think this way, as well. To me, food is an addiction. If I enjoy it, I eat too much of it. So I think of it as a prescription medication. It's great that most people don't have to do that and can see food as "joy" and "pleasure," but I'd appreciate it if you didn't judge those who are not like you in that regard. Not everyone lives or thinks like you. We do what we have to do. I've lost 56 pounds. 14 more to go.
Good shit. A little hard core, but maybe that's what I need. I agree with the sentiment about eating for the purpose of nutrition rather than taste. I find it a little hard to follow such an unforgiving regiment. It's the step I need to take. Like, right now, there is nothing unhealthy in my cupboard or fridge (except for some chocolate syrup), but it's way easy for me to talk myself into buying some kind of junk on my way home from work. I justify it by telling myself, "I've worked hard" or "I've had a rough day". It's bullshit, but I do it.
Reading this helps remind me WHY I undertook the diet change in the first place, and why I SHOULDN'T be justifying junk food.
I don't care if this is five months old or if the author failed. I don't care about the negative comments. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason this blog post exists is as a reminder to myself.
I'm going to be blogging about bodybuilding within the next few days (just got myself started) i've done a couple of other things so far aside from health and fitness.
Great to see how you will continue to transform!!
check my blog out: 10dans.blogspot.com
make sure you check my post about weight training that will be coming soon!!!!
As I have countless times before. I've lost and gained and lost and gained. The feeling good about losing, makes it ok to go to that restaurant to celebrate. Just having a salad tonight, maybe I'll grab a burger before I get home just so I'm more full.. and so it won't hurt so bad when people say damn wtf happened, thought you were losing weight. Makes me just want to get a triple huge chocolate shake and cry in the corner with my cheese and bacon fries. I've quit coke, alcohol, smoking and heroin. I cannot quit fatty, greasy, sugary, salty foods. Oh I want to be thin, don't get me wrong. It just don't seem to work out.
You're way more likely to make necessary changes in your life if you do it a little at a time rather than trying to make a bunch of big changes at once! This is about you being a happier, healthier person, and depriving yourself from the joys of food isn't going to do you any favors. I'm not saying you should eat crappy junk food all the time because it tastes awesome, but try cutting back first. Maybe just losing the soda, or limiting fast food to once a week. And remember that healthy food can be delicious! You don't have to gag yourself on cottage cheese to loose weight. I'm not trying to be patronizing, I've totally been there. I was the fat kid from elementary to high school, I know how much it sucks and I know that you can do this!!
1st of all: go to a bookshop and buy: "the paleo solution, the original human diet" from robb wolf. then follow the instructions in the book. do you want it easier? no prob: go to www.whole9life.com read, lean, cook, eat, work out and change your life! good luck!
Love this. At one point I had exactly this diet, and lost a tremendous amount of FAT. Then I modified it and included WHEY protein, every type of vegetable imaginable, yogurt, fat free milk, lean meats, and added some "cheats". Personally, french fries are irresistible and I would get those sometimes to satisfy the craving.
To all readers, this IS one of the the most effective diets to lose FAT and preserve/build muscle! Yet, it might just be the hardest.
Way to go! You've created a powerful contract with yourself now. Stick with it and you'll see amazing results. Everyone should be following this and writing their own list of mantras, for all areas of their life.
Started eating this way when I was a pudgy fourteen-year-old. I am now... considerably older and it is the only way I can stand to eat. Even during the times of my life when I relaxed on my workout I didn't gain a significant amount of weight. It will work for you if you stick with it! Good luck!
First learn about nutrition, this is an alright diet not the best. Second if your trying to be professional and I'm assuming you are I wouldn't swear at all...
A person essentially was able to post seriously articles I would say. This is actually the first time I went to your website page and so far I am astonished with the research you have made to make this kind of post on the subject of cheap car rentals in florence alabama so amazing. Great job!

Oh my fucking god!! That is exactly what I'm doing and I didn't read this its what I ended up doing after hours of research on healthy and high in protein foods and experimenting for months. If you stick to this, I promise you'll see progress, at least its worked amazingly for me! Although my goal was to get fit, muscle etc but I'm pretty sure it'll work for you too!! If you're looking for something additional: I do Intermittent Fasting in addition, you may want to look it up sometime. And one last thing: even though this plan might sound a little radical, it works! Stick to it, its not some kind of bullshit fad diet but a lifestyle and for the results you get, it is 100% worth it!!
